New projects
NIS group has recently been awarded The Forth Valley hospital project that will provide a new £300 million,95,115 sqm, 860 bed hospital in Larbert, Scotland. The hospital will centralise acute healthcare services along with the majority of mental health services currently provided at the existing Stirling and Falkirk Infirmaries.
The new hospital will feature an innovative atrium at its focal point, with clinical buildings arranged in a village-like design providing easy access for patients and visitors.
The first phase, which is due to be completed in 2010, will equip the hospital with 80 per cent of the required wards. Phase 2 will provide a mental health division and will be completed by 2011. A further phase will involve setting up and providing health services for women, children and an A&E department.
Laing O’Rourke is carrying out the construction of the hospital on the 130 hectare site. Crown house technologies are responsible for the M&E services and they chose NIS to manage the Thermal Insulation package.
The NIS Group is currently managing nearly £3 million worth of projects for Crown House throughout the UK
