TICA represents UK companies involved in industrial hot and cold insulation. Their expertise in energy saving through correctly specified insulation and high quality application have helped to create quality standards of the highest level which we at NIS set as our minimum standard.

Insulation and Environmental Training Agency

This is a division of TICA, responsible for managing the industry's training programmes for Thermal Insulation Apprentices. The organisation provides our apprentice training to NVQ Level 2. IETA is an accredited centre with the City & Guilds for the delivery of NVQ's in Thermal Insulation and Key Skills.

NIS was the first contractor in the North East of England to become a member of TICA, realising the importance of apprentice training through IETA. We have been a member since January 2000, training insulation engineers to NVQ level 3 and currently employing 11 apprentices in England and Scotland.

International Organisation for Standardisation

ISO is the world's largest developer and publisher of International Standards. NIS Limited believe it is important that these International standards are met, ensuring that our clients can be confident we are able to provide a professional service as well as helping NIS lead the way in quality control for our industry.

In April 2004, NIS Group was the first North East insulation contractor to have our Quality, Management, Health and Safety systems accredited and audited to ISO 9001.
